"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
- Berthold Auerbach
My piano lessons in Gilbert, Arizona consist of weekly, half-hour sessions at the Future Musicians private studio. I work with students one-on-one at all levels, from beginners to advanced. Intermediate piano students and up also receive a monthly music lab to further enhance their learning.
As a lifelong piano teacher, my goal is ultimately to teach my students to teach themselves, so they will continue enjoying and playing music for a lifetime.
Piano Lesson Rates
I charge a flat monthly rate of $75.00 for piano lessons.
Included in this rate are the weekly lessons, as well as annual recitals and piano parties, which give students the opportunity to perform for family, friends and peers. I also offer a number of volunteering opportunities for my pianists to share their musical talents with the community.
New students will receive a complimentary piano lesson to get a feel for how I run my music studio.
Piano Lesson Students
I teach piano students of all ages, from children to adults to senior citizens. No prior experience is necessary. I do recommend that young students wait until at least 2nd grade before beginning piano lessons. (For children ages two through kindergarten, please check out my preschool music classes.)
I welcome home-schoolers, and I am happy to accommodate children with special needs. I have previously taught piano students with autism, learning disabilities and visual impairments.

Solveig tailors her piano instruction to the student, providing positive motivation through fresh exercises and activities.
- Betty, Piano Student
In the years I took piano lessons from Solveig, I found her to be a skilled, patient teacher. She is always encouraging and motivating.
- Amy, Piano Student
I started my piano lessons with Solveig as a pre-school student, and continued to take from her through my college years. She always challenged me and provided positive reinforcement of my growth. She continually made the learning fun and helped mentor me in starting to teach beginner piano students myself.
